A Day in the Life…

Every day is different with Kanak Attack. While our restaurant space serves lunch to corporate professionals, our prep cooks, led by Chef Mike, are roasting a pig for a retirement banquet and preparing salads for a wedding. As our catering manager presides over a tasting in the evening, our team of caterers is heading out to set up for a surprise birthday party in Caldwell. Our downstairs cafe, Kanak’s Eatery, is serving coffee and freshly made sandwiches the next morning as our food truck team loads the truck for a concert. We cater to the most exciting events in the Treasure Valley like the Eagle Rodeo, Treefort Music Festival, and Art in the Park!

What We Look For:

From the beginner prep cook to the most experienced chef, we’re looking to build our team in any way possible. We’re willing to train you and even learn a thing or two! Kanak Attack Catering is looking for individuals who can work flexible hours OR a set schedule every week, who love going on the road to destinations as far as Oregon OR who prefer to stick close to the restaurant and cafe, and just love food. We hire part and full time!

Job Openings

Prep Cooks – $13/hr
Brand new to cooking? Always wanted to start? This is the job for you. You’ll begin learning the basics of the kitchen and work alongside our team of chefs and line cooks to build catering orders. With room for advancement and flexible hours, you’ll learn the ropes in no time.

Food Truck Operator/Line Cook – $15/hr
Hiring for both positions who can help cook our menus FRESH on our food truck and at our restaurant space to prepare for events. Don’t worry – we’ll teach you the menu. Experience preferred.

Food Truck Cashiers – $13/hr + GREAT Tips (We mean it)
Our food trucks attract high volumes of people and require quick, courteous service. As a cashier you’ll be the face of Kanak Attack and work closely with our food truck operators to take orders and serve meals when completed.

Catering Servers – $14/hr
Our catering servers travel out to weddings, birthday parties, anniversary dinners, celebrations of life, work luncheons, and so much more. As a catering server, your responsibilities range from simple order deliveries to full catering set ups, complete with table linens. Oh yeah…we’re the real deal.

Catering Chef – $20/hr
Our catering chefs help us make it all happen. Alongside Chef Mike, you’ll direct the kitchen in preparing for events, create and fulfill prep lists, and ensure catering kitchen operations are running smoothly. Bonus points if you’re down to cook in flexible environments – we’ve been everywhere and we’ve pretty much seen it all. If you have experience running kitchens, we want you.
